Peptalks & Kickball

Sometimes...ok... most of the time, I think I use my blog as a peptalk for myself. Of course life has its many challenges, but I'm trying to focus on the good so that I can live the scripture, "men are that they might have joy." Is life always perky and cheery and easy for me? Oh, believe me when I say, "NO." BUT the more I recognize the blessings, the more blessed I feel. It just probably wouldn't be much fun to read a blog with pictures of crying kids or of me scrubbing the toilet or killing a spider or sorting mountains of laundry. And though these things are also my reality, I also have snippets of fun which is what ends up on display since this is a blog of the sunny side...not the gloomy side of my life. Ummm... my brain has completely lost the train of thought I've had for days about this topic, so it may have to be continued at a later date. Onto other matters...

Ever since Hannah declared that girls don't play sports, we decided to show her how fun sports can be. This week Jimmy taught the kids kickball and I taught Hannah a little volleyball. She quite loves it though she is working on being a good sport even when things don't go as planned. Abe has enjoyed it too, though he doesn't quite understand the concept of running around the bases. We have been loving the Autumn weather.

Totally cool video! Jimmy is a great coach and Hannah is getting good at sports. I'll talk to her later about sports attire for girls. And Abe the babe is a natural! That made my night!
