This morning I was a bit emotional. I had read an article on FoxNews.com about a woman who's husband had been killed in the WTC as a police rescueman. I was fine until I told Jimmy about part of the article when she said, "The bad times I can handle, I’ve been through that. But nobody told you, how to celebrate the good times by yourself," and then I was getting all choked up. Then I was driving to the doctor and heard a Bill's Khaki commercial on Glenn Beck's Radio Show, and nearly cried. It was an inspiring story about Americans. So today I am extra grateful to live in America. It is sad to think about people who lose their lives because of the wicked choices of others. But I do believe that if we as Americans stay UNITED and RIGHTEOUS, we shall STAND strong. What worries me is the sneaky things Satan tempts us with...even ingratitude for the tremendous blessings we have here in America. Last night Hannah came in at 2:30 in the morning and said she couldn't sleep. She said that Satan was trying to get her to not believe the gospel. Jimmy went and said a prayer with her. We have been reading the Children's D&C and there was a chapter about how Satan doesn't want us to choose the right but that Jesus wants us to be happy. I know it is important to teach our children about choices, but I do wish we lived in a less scary/more righteous culture. Onto less intense matters... I took Hannah to the doctor today. She weighed 32 1/4 lbs and Abe weighed 33 1/2 lbs. Since Hannah has been sick, she lost weight so now Abe weighs more. Amazing! I added another song on the right. It is Summer Portrait by Kurt Bestor. When I was a teenager, I loved it. It is peaceful...a thoughtful tune. Kindof fits my mood today thinking about all the events going on for Sept 11.

Thanks, Heather! I love the country flag! And, we all knew it would happen sooner or later, we just thought Abe would be in first grade by the time he passed up Hannah! Funny little tough guy!
